Launching of Electricity Supply: SAC members attend the ceremony

Launching Ceremony of 10.5 KV Electricity Supply was held at the Basic Education High School, in PanLon of HoPan Township in Wa Self-Administered Division on 15th September.

At the ceremony, member of the State Administration Council U Yan Kyaw said that electricity was only distributed part-timely with diesel engine in PanLon in 1995 but now it is being distributed full-time and socio-economic life of the locals will be developed. He also expressed his delight that the locals are now able to use electricity 24 hours fully.

Then, Chairman of the Administration Department of Wa Self-Administered Division U Nyi Nap said that it was built at their own expense by the 24 hour Electrification Committee and 400 households are able to use electricity starting from June 3, 2023.

Then, electrical engineer of Pan Lon U Myint Naing clarified on the electricity usage and a local expressed word of thanks. Next, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Deputy Commander of Northeast Command, Ethnic Affairs Minister and officials inaugurated the ceremony by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and the SAC members U Yan Kyaw and U Shwe Kyein opened the ceremony by pressing the button.

Afterwards, the SAC members and party and Wa Ethnic Cultural Troupes and KoKant Ethnic Cultural Troupes took documentary photos together.

The SAC members U Yan Kyaw, U Shwe Kyein and Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and deputy commander of Northeast Command were handed a commemorative flag by the PanLon Electrical Engineer and the Electrification Committee.

The SAC members then presented honorary cash to Wa and KoKhant Ethnic Cultural Troupes. The State Chief Minister and deputy commander also presented honorary cash to the school band and the Pom-Pom dance group.

After that, the SAC members, State Chief Minister and officials looked into the designated area to build No.1 RC Ground Tank in 2023-2024 in PanLon of HoPan Township, PanLon Haw Nan and enjoyed the entertainment performed by Wa Ethnic Cultural dance troupe.

They then took a documentary photo and proceeded to Pan Lon People’s hospital and provided nutritious foods to the locals who are receiving medical treatment. The SAC members U Yan Kyaw and U Shwe Kyein presented honorary cash for PanLon Hospital through the hospital superintendent.

Next, the SAC members and officials inspected the animal feedstuff factory of Khaing Wai Phyo Company Limited in HoPan township of Wa Self-Administered Division.
