The deputy Prime Minister of Viet Nam attended the inauguration and handover ceremony of the Laos–Viet Nam Friendship Hospital on Thursday.
This is one of the most modern, large-scale medical facilities in Houaphanh Province of Laos. The hospital has a capacity of 200 beds and a total investment of approximately 20 million USD, contributed by the Lao Government and non-refundable aid from the Vietnamese Government.
To ensure effective operation, the Deputy Prime Minister called on relevant agencies from both countries to coordinate closely in the handover, management, training, and development of human resources. He emphasised the goal of turning the hospital into a model of bilateral cooperation, contributing meaningfully to the great friendship between Viet Nam and Laos.
