Laos PM arrives in eastern Russia for economic forum

Laos Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on Wednesday arrived in the Far East Russian city of Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum. 36 countries are set to be represented at the four-day forum, which will look to boost Russia's economic influence in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The event's business program will feature over 100 sessions divided into seven thematic areas covering topics such as investment and innovation, logistics, urban development and public-private partnerships. It also features a diverse cultural and sports program.
