Landslide in Chin State: Falam District Administrative Body facilitates rescue works

Landslides triggered by torrential rain continued to cause several ground cracks in Falam District of Chin State. On 4th October, the Chairman of Falam District Administrative Body and officials inspected the conditions of Kalay-Falam-Hakha Road landslides.

They gave necessary instructions for preparations of the pipelines damaged by the landslides and temporary evacuation for the families.  He also inspected the landslide along Bogyoke Street and the removal of soil with the use of machinery to avoid road blockages by the Road Department. 

Later, he inspected the situations of ground cracks in front of residential house due to the cracking of the retaining wall on the side of the 1-mile Monastery Road in Talanlo lower ward. Members of fire brigade and local residents facilitated the rescue works in the affected areas.
