Landmark deal reached on settling conflict era cases

Nepal Major Parties agree to settle disputes on Transitional Justice Bill that defines basis to settle conflict era cases, deal reached after 17 years the peace process started.

The bill is currently under discussion in the Law and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives. The report of the agreement made by the task force would be submitted to the top leaders after approval from the top leaders, it will be taken for passage from the House to become a law. It is an important step for concluding the controversial debate pertaining most awaited decision to settle transitional justice.
