Land Utilization : National Land Use Council held its meeting

National Land Use Council held its meeting at the meeting hall of the Forest Department in Nay Pyi Taw on August 21st. Council Chairman and Vice President U Nyo Saw attended the meeting to discuss matters on systematic land utilization by drafting National Land Use Law for country’s development.

The Vice President said in order to practice 2016 national land use policy effectively and to harmonize the sectoral land use related laws, plans are underway to enact the National Land Law as Umbrella Law.

The meeting discussed on reforming of Land Use Committees in all regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw, collecting statistics on land use and maps, formation of working groups and committees for drafting the national land use projects and land use zones as well as cooperation on boosting agricultural production, manufacturing and market networks.

Upon reports by the attendees, the Vice President gave necessary instructions and coordinated the needs.
