To Lam presser after 'unanimously' re-elected party chief

General Secretary To Lam of Viet Nam's ruling Communist Party held a press conference at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi after being "unanimously" reelected, confirming the former security enforcer as the country's top leader for the next five years and backing his vision for growth-oriented change.

To Lam said they will build up the growth model to ensure the objective of double digit growth in economic sector. As Viet Nam has increased the role of international relations, external relations of Viet Nam to a new importance, on the same level with the tasks of defence and security, he added.
