Labour Affairs :Union Minister addresses 12-day refresher course

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung on Monday addressed the opening of a 12-day refresher course for officers of the Factories and General Labor Laws Inspection Department.

In his address, the Union Minister stressed that the course is designed to help the officers develop the state by cooperation between the government, employers and employees and carry out office activities in an orderly manner and properly lead the organization.

This course covers management, workshop inspection, labor law, by-law and ethics. The Factories and General Labor Laws Inspection Department has to mainly carry out labor inspection activities, ensure that workers regularly and fully enjoy their rights under the law and create safe and healthy workplaces.

Government employees are responsible for following the policies of the government and providing basic services to the public, the Union Minister added. The officers who joined this course with the on-job training system will be appointed as inspectors after completing the course till the 18th of September.
