Labour Affairs: MOL Union Minister meets Chinese delegation

Union Minister for Labor U MyintNaung received a delegation led by Mr. Liu Yipeng, Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province, Dehong Prefectural Government of People’s Republic of China at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 26th December.

During the meeting, both sides cordially discussed matters pertaining to legal migration, supervisory matter on Chinese employers, collaborative activities to send Myanmar workers through MoU system and labor rights and necessary assistance on Myanmar workers.

The meeting also focused on transnational cooperation and further work implementations. Dehong Prefectural Government and the Ministry of Labour signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 12th January 2024 to send Myanmar workers to Dehong Autonomous Prefecture officially.
