Labour Affairs: Inspection at the factories and Workers’ Hospital

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung made inspection at the factories in Wartayar and Thardukan Industrial Zones in Yangon Region on Friday.

The Union Minister visited the Sports Equipment Factory of Very Impressive Co., Ltd and Footwear Factory of Myanmar Pou Chen Co,. Ltd. Officials reported on the efforts for boosting production capacity, worksite safety measures and welfare activities for the workers.

The Union Minister stressed the need to have good relations between the employers and employees for boosting production at the factories and workshops. He urged all to abide by the existing labour laws, and create a peaceful working environ, overcoming the obstacles and challenges.

The Union Minister later proceeded to the Workers’ Hospital in Htantapin Township and oversaw the healthcare services, being provided to the insured workers.

In meeting with the Medical Superintendent and staff, the Union Minister instructed to strive for providing better health care services to the insured workers. On arrival at the Garment Factory of Sioen Myanmar Co., Ltd, the Union Minister instructed for worksite safety measures.
