Knowledge Sharing Session: Legal awareness lectures provided in Magway Region

Legal Knowledge Sharing Session of the Magway Region Sub-Committee on Coordinating Rule of Law and Justice Affairs took place at the Township assembly hall on March 7, with the attendance of Chief Minister U Tint Lwin.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that Rule of Law Centers were established in Yangon, Mandalay, Taunggyi and Myitkyina under the United Nations Development Programme for dissemination of legal knowledge to the public.

The Sub-Committees have been formed with the aims for effective collaboration among the government departments and institutions and local and international organizations in implementing the rule of law and justice affairs. He urged officials to conduct legal knowledge sharing sessions constantly for the benefits of the country and its people. 

During the session, Legal awareness lectures were provided on various laws in the areas of Gambling, Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, Highways, Child Rights, Forest, and protecting women against violence, as well as the laws administered by the General Administration Department.
