A knowledge-sharing and discussion event on corruption prevention, jointly organized by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Commission, was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs on July 1st.

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Khun Thant Zaw Htoo addressed the event, highlighting the benefits that can be gained by civil servants from such corruption prevention awareness sessions. He emphasized how these sessions contribute to building integrity and accountability in public service.

Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, U Sit Aye, also spoke at the event. He stated that the Commission approaches anti-corruption as a national duty, and is actively implementing a three-pronged strategy: education and awareness, prevention, and investigation and enforcement in an ongoing and systematic manner.

After the opening speeches, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and responsible officials took a commemorative group photo with the Commission Chairman and officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission.

Next, officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission gave topic-based presentations related to corruption prevention. Attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered in detail by Commission Member Dr. Tun Tun Oo and the Director General.

Following that, Dr. Tun Tun Oo, leading the discussion, met with members of various Corruption Prevention Units (CPUs) to exchange views on their field experiences, strengths and weaknesses, and implementation challenges.
