It is known that there are a total of 635 buildings in the three zones within the Myawaddy-Mae Htaw Thale (KK Park) where online gambling, online scam, and criminal activities were committed.

90 percent of the workers were foreign citizens who illegally entered the KK Park - willing or coerced- to secure attractive salaries via border routes of neighboring countries including Thailand. Thai merchants provided and sold necessary supplies, generators, Starlink internet devices, consumer goods, essential foodstuffs, fuel, and other utilities for the usable buildings in the three zones.

From 30th January to 11th November 2025, a total of 10,815 foreign citizens who illegally entered the Myawaddy-Mae Htaw Thale KK Park area of Myanmar have been investigated, identified, and detained.

Out of these, 9,536 have been systematically deported and transferred to their respective countries via Thailand in accordance with legal procedures, and the remaining 1,279 foreign citizens are ready to be transferred to their respective countries.

Myanmar government is currently cooperating with international organizations, including neighboring countries, to continuously investigate, identify, and take action against all individuals who are conducting or involved in online scam and online gambling activities.
