King Charles meets with owners of Wrexham AFC

King Charles III met the owners of Wrexham A.F.C. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney along with participants from Powerchair football, a team sport for electric wheelchair-users on Friday. Reynolds and McElhenney bought the club, which is the oldest team in Wales, in 2021.

Charles and Camilla were in Wrexham to formally confer city status on the former town, and stopped by the soccer club as part of their visit. Reynolds and McElhenney's journey as owners was charted in Disney+ show "Made in Wrexham," which follows the highs and lows of the club both on and off the pitch.
