Kim Ju-ae’s debut on diplomatic stage

Kim Ju-ae, daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, made her first public appearance at an official diplomatic event. She accompanied her father during a visit to the Russian Embassy in Pyongyang on Russia’s Victory Day, May 9. State media referred to her as “the most beloved daughter,” elevating her previous titles. 

During the visit, she met and greeted the Russian ambassador. This marked a rare public diplomatic engagement for the leader’s family. A South Korean official described the event as a notable development in North Korea’s leadership dynamics.
