Kenyan runner wins the 42 km race at the 10th Ulaanbaatar Marathon

On Saturday, approximately 30,000 runners took to the streets of Ulaanbaatar to participate in the “Ulaanbaatar Marathon 2025.” Citizens aged 8 to 80 registered to run various distances, 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km, highlighting the inclusive and festive nature of the event.

Now in its 10th year, the marathon has significantly expanded its scope. This year, around 150 athletes from across multiple continents joined the race, adding to its growing international recognition. Notably, Kenyan athlete Kiura Denis Mugendi won the 42 km race, the marathon’s longest distance.
