Kathmandu Valley Celebrates Indra Jatra Festival

Kathmandu Valley has come alive with the vibrant seven-day street festival, Indra Jatra, which began on Sunday. The festival, a major cultural event, honors God Indra and Goddess Kumari. A public holiday is observed across the valley on the first day of the Ashwin month of the Bikram Samwat calendar to mark the occasion.
