Kate festival 2025 spreads vibrant colours

Thousands of people from the Chăm Brahman community flocked to the Pô Klong Garai Tower for the 2025 Katê Festival from October 20th to 22nd.   People in traditional attire carried offerings such as betel leaves and areca nuts, fruits, and cakes toward the sacred tower to celebrate the festival.

The occasion is also a time for the Chăm people to honour their ancestors and pray for peace, favourable weather, and abundant harvests. Throughout the celebration, visitors enjoyed graceful fan and water-balance dances.
