Kachin State Trip: SAC Member holds meeting in Myitkyina Tsp.

During her Kachin State trip, Member of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu on Thursday held a meeting with the Kachin State Chief Minister and many other concerned officials as well as locals in Myitkyina Township.

In the meeting, calling for cooperation, the SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu highlighted the State Administration Council’s efforts for comprehensive national development, food security, promotion of domestic products manufacturing, peace, stability and free and fair multiparty democratic election.

And, she and the concerned officials heard reports, explained and coordinated the matters including land ownership issues, rural roads development, markets upgrade, environmental conservation and issues related to the teaching of ethnic literature.

The SAC Member continued her trip to the Myitkyina University to hold talks with faculty members. There, she heard reports on teaching activities and the need to have a library, sports ground, recreation center and medical center, called for efforts to train students to become those who are able to think rationally about what is true and what is wrong and coordinated the requirements. Later the day, the SAC Member attended a gathering marking the Youth Week programme at the Myitkyina University. The gathering included entertainment programme and dinner.
