Kachin State Trip: Dy PM attends opening ceremonies in Myitkyina

Member of the State Administration Council (SAC) Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San, other SAC members and union ministers on Monday arrived in Myitkyina of Kachin State and were welcomed with traditional performances. There, in commemoration of the 76th Kachin State Day, the Deputy Prime Minister and party attended opening of the Welcome to Myitkyina (LED) signboard and Maykha Garden.

After the opening ceremony, they inspected the garden. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister and party attended opening of the 1,013 feet long DuWaZawRit Road upgraded with the 2023-2024 fiscal year state budget and inspected the Road.

Likewise, they ceremonially opened the 1,400 feet long Road leading to a Pariyatti monastery. And, the Deputy Prime Minister and party attended the first full year capital subsidy and interest return ceremony from agricultural and livestock activities carried out by the State Economic Promotion Fund.

In the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that efforts are being made towards the country's prosperity and food security. Economic drivers have improved by encouraging MSMEs. He also urged concerned officials to expand the cultivation of rubber, which is an industrial raw material crop, and organize to produce value-added products.

And, Kachin State Chief Minister explained allocation of funds to the state, interest earning conditions and plans to continue lending for the second cycle of the project before handing over the capital subsidy of over 6.5 billion Kyats and interest return of 206.4 million Kyats to Union Minister U Hla Moe. And, the Deputy Prime Minister gave remarks. He also opened a new three-story building in the state vaccine storage cold room (Myitkyina).

In the ceremony, Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win highlighted vaccination programmes of his Ministry. This new facility can store more vaccines needed for the expanded vaccination work. And, the Deputy Prime Minister and party ceremonially opened the new building and made an inspection.
