







The ceremony of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Kachin State Day which falls on 10th January was held at the lawn of the state government office in Myitkyina Township, Kachin State.

Next, the Kachin State Chief Minister U KhetHtein Nan extended words of greeting in commemorating the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) of Kachin State Day. Next, the Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. TunTunNaung presented 100 sets of solar panels to the Kachin State Government and the Chief Minister U KhetHtein Nan accepted.
Afterward, the members of the State Administration Council, Union Ministers, state Chief Minister, Commander of Northern Command, senior military officers, state chief justice, state ministers, state advocate general, state level departmental officials, 6 groups of Kachin nationalities, 5 groups of Shan nationalities in Kachin State, Bamar national race cultural groups, trainees from educational college, nursing training school, border area national races development training school happily participated in manaw dance following the Nau Shawng in line with the tradition.
The Kachin State is home to more than 1.7 million population comprising Kachin ethnics such as Kachin, Htarom, Dalaung, Jingphaw, Gawri, Khakhu, Dulan, Lawwaw, Rawang, Larcheid, Zaiwah and Lisu together with Shan ethnics namely Tailay, Tailai, Tailon, Taisa and Taikhamti and Bamar ethnic and other ethnics amicably, it’s learnt.
