June's Strawberry Moon rises over Dubai towers

On the night of June 10–11, the skies over Dubai were graced with the rare and captivating Strawberry Moon. This full moon, named by Native American tribes to mark the strawberry harvesting season, coincided with a lunar standstill—a phenomenon occurring every 18.6 years when the moon's orbit reaches its maximum declination, making its path appear unusually high or low in the sky.

As a result, the moon appeared exceptionally low on the horizon, offering a unique and breathtaking spectacle for skywatchers. The Strawberry Moon was visible across various regions, including Dubai, where residents were treated to a dazzling lunar display.
