Joseph Boakai sworn in as Liberia's president

Former Vice President Joseph Boakai was sworn in as the Liberia’s President in Monrovia on Monday.

The colorful swearing-in ceremony was held outside the legislature in the capital, Monrovia. Attended by dozens of African and foreign dignitaries including Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Ambassador to the United Nations. In his inaugural speech, Boakai promises to rebuild the broken infrastructures and improve the delivery of health and social services.
