The death toll in Japan's worst flooding in decades rose to 155 on Tuesday (July 10).
Torrential rain unleashed floods and landslides in western Japan last week. One of the worst-hit areas is Hiroshima, which has experienced the largest number of deaths from floods and landslides.
More than 200,000 remain without water under scorching sun. The government has set aside $631 million in infrastructure funds to respond to disasters with $3.15 billion in reserve.
