Japanese FM meets Sri Lankan PM

Japanese Foreign Minister Mr. Hayashi Yoshimasa met with a courtesy call on Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena on 29th July.

On this occasion, a memorandum of Understanding has been signed regarding the implementation of a scholarship program on Human Resources.  

Japanese Ambassador in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka secretary to the Ministry of Finance have signed the agreement.Under the program, Japan will provide scholarships to Sri Lankan government servants and intellectuals to pursue higher education in Japan.
