Japan Ruling Coalition Cnfm Talks

The Secretary General of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has pointed out the importance of solving pending issues and concretely promoting cooperation to improve bilateral ties at a meeting with China’s Foreign Minister.

LDP Secretary-General Moriyama Hiroshi and his counterpart of the Junior Coalition Partner Komeito, Nishida Makoto, met with Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday.

Wang said the two neighboring countries should strengthen cooperation in various fields, and that both countries’ ruling parties share heavy responsibility for that purpose.

Moriyama said he wants joint efforts with China to solve problems and pending issues as much as possible in line with a broad direction reached in a summit meeting last November.
