The Japan Bank for International Cooperation has decided to provide $150 million in funding for renewable energy projects and power transmission in Viet Nam.
The loan will be disbursed through VPBank (Viet Nam Prosperity Bank). The credit contract signing ceremony between the two banks recently took place in Hanoi. The loan aims to contribute to Vietnam’s national goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
This mid- to long-term loan of $150 million will be allocated by VPBank to businesses and projects focused on power grid development and renewable energy, with positive impacts on environmental protection.
