Japan, Croatia leaders hold summit in Tokyo

Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba held a meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tokyo on Friday.

After a salute and guard of honor, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties. During the meeting, Ishiba highlighted Croatia as an important partner and welcoming the entry into force of the Japan-Croatia Air Services Agreement in March.

Plenković expressed hopes to expand cooperation across sectors, including through Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Both leaders welcomed an agreement in principle on a Working Holiday Arrangement and pledged to boost people-to-people exchanges. They also exchanged views on international issues and agreed to continue close cooperation.
