Japan and Argentina strengthen economic ties

Argentine President Mauricio Macri and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe signed a joint agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

On this, Macri and Abe's third meeting this year, the two leaders raised their relation to that of 'strategic partners' and said they share values such as a commitment to democracy, human rights, multilateralism and sustainable development. The meeting took place on the second day of meetings between world leaders from the Group of 20 industrialized nations.
