Japan’s Emperor and Sweden’s king attend water seminar in Tokyo

Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf have attended a seminar in Tokyo on the importance of water in tackling climate change.

The Swedish Embassy and a Stockholm-based water research institute co-hosted the event at the UN University Headquarters in Tokyo on Friday. King Carl XVI Gustaf is in Japan for the World Expo in Osaka. On Thursday, Emperor Naruhito, along with Empress Masako and their daughter Princess Aiko, hosted the king for dinner at the Imperial Palace.
