Italian PM Meloni meets with Emir of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Emir of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, before the official opening of the Milan Cortina Olympic Games which will run until 22 February.

The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics officially starts with a star-studded opening ceremony at the San Siro Stadium on Friday.  For the first time, the 2,900 athletes parade in the venues closest to where they will compete, in a bid to minimize travel.
