



A new training program is giving dozens of English-speaking university students in Pakistan the opportunity to enter the Japanese tech industry. More than 50 students from nine universities are taking part.
The program was jointly set up by a Japanese human resources firm and the Pakistani government. A launch ceremony took place on Friday in Islamabad, with government officials from both countries among those in attendance.
Students enrolled on the program will receive advanced IT training and learn Japanese language specific to the industry. Pakistan has a population of about 240 million, and English is an official language. The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, lauded the program’s potential.
