Heavy rainfall that began on Wednesday morning and continued almost nonstop across Istanbul for approximately 30 hours triggered severe flooding throughout the city. The death toll from the floods has risen to four. As the rainfall subsided, evacuation and cleanup operations began on streets and inside homes.

Emergency crews are working to remove mud and silt that have accumulated on roads and in residential properties.A bridge collapsed in Beykoz in the morning hours. Cleanup operations are also continuing in Ayazağa, one of the areas hardest hit by the flooding.
