Four International Space Station (ISS) crew members splashed down in the Pacific Ocean early Thursday, video footage from NASA showed, after a medical issue prompted their mission to be cut short.

This marks the first-ever medical evacuation from the ISS. In a news conference, NASA administrator said the crew were safe and "in good spirits", adding that NASA would share updates on the affected crew member’s health "as soon as it is appropriate to do so."
