The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) opened National Meet 2025 in New Delhi with the theme “Leveraging Space Technology and Applications for Viksit Bharat 2047.”

The meet focuses on integrating space technologies with agriculture, environment, infrastructure, health, education, communication, disaster management, and regional development. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan highlighted the role of space applications in boosting agriculture, managing disasters, and supporting national progress.

The event precedes the 2nd National Space Day on Saturday, commemorating Chandrayaan-3’s successful lunar landing on August 23, 2023, which made India the first nation to land near the moon’s southpole. This year’s observance highlights India’s journey from Aryabhata to Gaganyaan and future space ambitions.
