Thousands gathered in Hostages' Square on Monday to celebrate the release of 20 surviving Israeli hostages by Hamas under a ceasefire agreement. The development comes as U.S. President Donald Trump and other world leaders prepare for a Gaza summit. The crowd in Tel Aviv expressed both relief and determination, saying their protests had played a key role in keeping attention on the hostages’ plight.

Shelly Bar Nir, resident of Tel Aviv said "It's so exciting and overwhelming that it's finally happening, that what we've been fighting for over two years, finally our hostages are coming home. But at the same time, we're not going to stop, and we'll continue coming here until the last hostage. "

Organizers said the demonstrations would continue until all hostages are accounted for, while many participants paid tribute to those who remain missing.
