




Search and rescue teams from more than two dozen countries joined more than 24,000 Turkish emergency personnel in response to the strong earthquake. Rescuers are racing against time to pull survivors from the rubble before they succumb to cold weather two days after deadly earthquake. Among them, Israeli rescuers found earthquake survivors from collapsed buildings in Turkiye.
Rescue teams called for silence as they listened out for signs of life from people trapped under the rubble. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he has also approved a request for humanitarian aid for Syria. Turkiye's disaster management agency said the country's death toll had risen to 6,957, bringing the overall total to 9,487, including fatalities reported in Syria, since Monday's earthquake and multiple aftershocks.
