Israel says residents returning to south Lebanon will have to leave if fighting resumes

Israel's Defence Minister Israel Katz on Friday warned that residents of southern Lebanon who return to their houses "will have to be evacuated" again if fighting resumes following the 10-day ceasefire agreed upon by Israel and Hezbollah. 

Katz said “the security area between the security zone and the Litani line, which is currently under the fire control, has not yet been cleared of terrorists and weapons. This will have to be carried out either through diplomatic means or by continued military activity once the ceasefire ends”.
