Israel drops leaflets asking Gaza City residents to evacuate towards the south

Leaflets were dropped by the Israeli army over Gaza asking people to evacuate towards the south of the Palestinian enclave. Israel pressed its war to crush Hamas on Sunday nearly a month after the worst attack in the country's history. Fighting continues to rage in populated Gaza, despite calls for a ceasefire from Arab countries.
Since Hamas attack, Israel has bombarded the besieged Gaza Strip. The health ministry in Gaza said more than 9,000 Gazans have been killed in Israeli strikes and the intensifying ground campaign. Since Israel sent troops into the Palestinian territory late last month, "over 2,500 terror targets have been struck" by "ground, air and naval forces", the army said on Sunday.
