Israel announces evacuation plan for Kiryat Shmona city near Lebanese border

Israel's Defense Ministry and the Israel Defense Force (IDF) have announced that they will begin to evacuate residents from the northern city of Kiryat Shmona near Lebanese border to state-subsidized guest houses.
The evacuation comes amid what Israel claims are repeated rocket and missile attacks by Hezbollah and other allied Palestinian factions targeting northern Israel. In a daily briefing on the war, the IDF spokesman said that Israeli military is prepared to protect against potential attacks.
