Israel and Austria look to deepen ties

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer met with Israeli Prime Minister YairLapid in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, where the two signed a joint declaration aimed at deepening ties between their countries.

Austria's Chancellor said that they will cooperate more closely on matters of security, economics and in the fight against current and future pandemics. During the visit to Israel's Holocaust memorial centre, the Chancellor announced a 1.5 million Euros cooperation deal between Austria and the centre to help fight anti-Semitism.
