Implementations for durability of Samone Dam has been carried out after the facility was damaged by the flash floods, caused by consecutive heavy rainfall, and impacted by the Typhoon Yagi.

The body structure of the dam has been reinforced for ensuring durability, along with the construction of Fusel Plug Spillway. On December 18th, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw inspected the progress of repair works, along with the durability of spillway and Sand Flushing Sluice.

Upon completion of the repair works, the flow of Samone Creek will be under control, benefiting over 8,000 acres farmlands from Thazi and Wuntwin Townships while supplying water to the villages within the catchment area.
