Irrigation Facility: MOALI Union Minister tours in Pyin Oo Lwin

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung on Thursday made field survey at Doe Kwin farm which is operating under the management of Agriculture Department in Pyin Oo Lwin township of Mandalay Region.

There, the Union Minister received the reports on current implementation process of the farm and future plans by the officials. Upon reports, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions on providing of technological assistance to the growers for production and distribution of flower species, and implementing for the development of agricultural technology.

The Union Minister later visited Mandalay Coffee Group Co., Ltd, oversaw the operating processes and gave necessary instruction. At Doe Kwin Dam near Doe Kwin village, the Union Minister made inspection and instructed the needs on enough distribution of irrigated water, safety measure and long-term durability of the dam without damaging the natural environment.

In Pyin Oo Lwin Township, the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department is supplying water for drinking and irrigation purposes, relying on four dams and reservoirs of Sithar , Sithar Yegu , Sinlan , and Doe Kwin.
