Due to the widespread rainfall in Shan State since September 10th, KyeePhyu Lake Diversion Weir has damaged, causing inundation in ShweNyaung.

At present, the repair works at the Diversion Weir are underway. On September 22nd, Chief Minister U Aung Aungvisited the damaged site to see the work progress.

KyeePhyu Lake is situated near Saele Village in Taunggyi Township, supplying irrigated water to 1,000 acres farmland. Likewise, plans are underway to carry out the repair works at KoneHlaing Lake in ShweNyaung. Through the feeder canals from KyeePhyi Lake, the KoneHlaing Lake has the capacity to store 350 acre feet at its full brim, benefiting the 70 acre farmland.
