Iran's foreign minister said the agreement Tehran struck with the International Atomic Energy Agency last month is no longer valid. The deal covers "practical modalities" for resuming inspections of nuclear facilities in the country. Abbas Araghchi spoke on Sunday during a meeting attended by foreign ambassadors and other officials.

This came after UN sanctions were re-imposed on Iran in September. Referring to a procedure triggered by Britain, France and Germany to resume the sanctions, Araghchi said enforcement of the snapback mechanism has changed all the circumstances. The minister emphasized that Tehran will continue its nuclear development. But he added that Iran is fully prepared for any solution that can build trust in its peaceful nuclear program.
