Iran has said it has not made a decision on whether to attend the next round of talks with the United States. The foreign ministry said there are currently no plans for a new round of negotiations, according to ministry spokesman EsmaeilBaqaei during a weekly briefing in Tehran. He added that no decision had been taken regarding participation in upcoming discussions.
The statement comes as regional mediators, including Pakistan, continue efforts to facilitate further negotiations between Iran and the United States aimed at extending a fragile ceasefire and advancing a longer-term agreement. Islamabad has been preparing to host a second round of talks following an initial meeting earlier this month, with proposals under discussion for multi-day negotiations leading to a possible memorandum of understanding.
