Iran is reviewing a potential initiation of negotiations with US

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that Iran is reviewing the details and general outlines of a potential initiation of negotiations with the United States.

He made the remarks at a weekly press conference in response to media reports that negotiations between Iran and the U.S. could start within the next few days in Türkiye. Baghaei denied that Iran had received any “ultimatum” from the U.S. and noted that Iran is at the decision-making stage.

“Regarding the negotiation framework, they are conducting multiple examinations and taking into consideration different aspects and angles of the issue. All parties have exchanged various opinions. At present, they are examining and making decisions on this issue,” he said.
