Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Nicaraguan counterpart Denis Moncada signed a comprehensive joint plan of cooperation on Sunday in Tehran.

No details about the agreement have been released yet. The meeting in Tehran was the second in less than three months. The two first met on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly in September in New York.

In May, Iran's Mehr news agency reported that an Iranian oil shipment was delivered to Nicaragua following a visit by Iran's oil minister. The report also said Iran had agreed to buy shares of an oil refinery in the Central American country.
