Iran and India hold 19th round of political consultations in New Delhi

The 19th India-Iran Foreign Office Consultations took place in New Delhi on Friday. The meeting was co-chaired by India’s Foreign Secretary and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the Chabahar Port, agricultural cooperation, trade, cultural ties, and people-to-people connections.

The Indian Foreign Secretary highlighted the importance of Chabahar Port in supporting Afghanistan’s economic development and reconstruction efforts. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to enhance collaboration in multilateral forums like the UN, BRICS, and SCO.
