Investment Sector: Union Minster Makes Inspection in Bago

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Vice Chair of the Myanmar Investment Commission Dr. Wah Wah Maung met with the Bago Region Chief Minister on November 11.

They held candid and open discussions regarding investment promotion, plans for cooperation, the status of assistance work being carried out by international organizations within the Bago Region and the recollection and recovery of loans disbursed from the COVID-19 Fund.

Following the meeting, the Union Minister met with entrepreneurs and stated that to increase the export of goods abroad, it is necessary to boost the production of products that have market demand. She also stressed the need to effectively utilize modern digital technologies, including AI, to produce and export value-added products that meet quality standards.

Subsequently, the Union Minister visited MYANSTAR GARMENT Co., Ltd. in Bago and provided advice and coordination regarding expanding investment activities, creating job opportunities for local residents, acquiring technology transfer, enhancing production, market expansion and effectively implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for the benefit of the local community.
